Saftron Return-to-Deck Handrails are made of a 1/4" thick hard-shell composites that are unaffected by pool chemicals (chlorine, acid & salt). Posts are reinforced internally with encapsulated Schedule 40 Galvanized Steel *.

* Note: We strongly recommend model RTD-348  instead of this rail. The RTD-348   has the same dimensions as the P-348-RTD, but unlike the P-348-RTD which only carries internal reinforcement in the posts, the RTD-348 is reinforced continuously along its entire core. In our experience, longer return-to-deck rails like this one need extra rigidity to properly support high leverage side-loads. The RTD-348   is a greatly superior rail for this reason and well worth the modestly higher price. The only reason we still carry the P-348-RTD model is because some of our builder clients (who have been using it for years) continue to ask for it specifically.

Dimensions: 32" High x 48" Wide. Posts measure 8" between centers. External diameter of railing is the industry standard: 1.9" OD

Installation: Rails can be core-drilled & grouted permanently into pool deck or installed using anchor sockets (ANCH-1 ) or surface mount bases (SB-F ) which are sold separately for applications that require removable railings. Saftron's reusable alignment jig (P-JIG-RTD) can be used to facilitate installation of Anchor Sockets. Two bases or anchor sockets are required for each rail.
